"Sonic Mega Collection" for the Nintendo GameCube is a collection of seven classic "Sonic the Hedgehog" plus bonus games. Each game in "Sonic Mega Collection" is taken from the "Sonic the Hedgehog" Sega Genesis library. The games in this collection are perfect emulations of how they initially appeared on the Genesis. These "Sonic" games also received a facelift in the form of enhanced graphics that make the colors pop on your high-definition television. This emulator was developed by the Sonic Team and even allows you to save your game at any point. The original release date was in November 2002.Sonic the Hedgehog is the first game Sega released for the Genesis that introduces the blue creature to the world, along with his nemesis, the evil Dr. Robotnik. Sonic races through over 10 levels with a boss fight at the end of every act.
